The CoffeeBean Captive Portal solution includes a Heatmap functionality, designed to capture and process information about devices within the perimeter of the Wi-Fi infrastructure.
The collected data can be visualized on a pre-configured map, which highlights areas with the highest movement over a specific period of time. In addition, the map also shows the points of users or devices moving within the monitored area.
Additionally, the solution generates detailed insights about these movements, such as:
- Days of the week with the highest traffic;
- Times of day with the highest concentration of users;
- Locations with the highest density of devices, among others.
For the Heatmap to function correctly and capture the mentioned data, it is necessary for the Wi-Fi infrastructure to support this functionality. The Wi-Fi network must be capable of capturing the coordinates of the devices present in the environment and making them available for processing, either through APIs or webhooks.
